just restoring an autoculto 11 from the 1930s allen and simmonds . ( the one in the pic cost me £21 on ebay not bad ) .the condition is poor to reasonable the engine was siezed badly a full month with diesel in the head dripping through and slowly turning it sorted that out it was siezed due to being immersed in water .apparantly the owners son had been driving it and lost control and it ended up in a disused cess pit glad it was empty .anyways a few quid more than i expected to pay to get it home and its now being restorered to glory .the engine wont run yet as its in need aof a bit of lathe work .dam spares costing silly price doesnt help £47 for a set of points is dam robbery so you con men take note

I have a couple of Auto Culto XI two wheel tractors, both with single furrow plough and cultivator attachments. Both run and are used on my allotment. Always looking for spares and info on these machines. One has the large wheeels, the other has the small ones.

(Never had to buy a set of new points they usually clean up OK.)

Hi Karl.

If points are burning like that it I think it usually means a new condenser is required.

I'll take a couple of pics of the machines when I get a chance. They look similar to yours but the front weight (missing on one of them) sits on a couple of upturned bars (and falls of when ploughing sometimes!) I dont yet have any lugged wheels, bought some unseen today and will try to collect them later this week. Do you have any literature on this machine? (I haven't managed to find anything on the machine yet yet but do have some info on the engine)

Regards
Bastwick

I've got an Autoculto Autogardener with a Villiers Mk15 engine (see Pics). Bought at auction for £5! A non runner but doesn't need much to get it running. Blue paint put on by previous owner.
